Resources
We do not make proper use of the precious resources that nature gives us every day. In the near future, some non-renewable resources will no longer be available to us.
Facts
INSO wants to find a strategy for a sustainable future. There are three fundamental and decisive aspects that we want to pursue in our project.
- Wiser resource consumption, so that consumer goods can be produced with less energy and resources.
- Overcoming the linear production economy in favour of a circular economy, to minimise the amount of waste by focusing on renewable energies.
- Sustainable lifestyle change, in which the economy does not aim for constant growth, but for moderate consumption of resources.
The aim is to satisfy the wants and needs of our society without this leading to waste or excessive consumption. To satisfy our basic needs in the future, the basis is resources, which we must use carefully.
Examples
Before sensible environmental planning can take place and the design of the future world can begin, resource planning must take place. Since there are very few non-renewable resources left, they must be identified and used carefully. An example of this is that fossil fuels, such as petrol and diesel, must be used specifically until alternative fuels can be used.
